Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Butter Unsalted. Kerry preferred.
- 1 bulb Garlic Use less if you don't like a strong garlic taste
- 2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/3 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp White Pepper
- 1 ea Parmesan To taste
Instructions
- Gather your ingredients and set your oven for 350 degrees.
- Begin melting the butter in a pot over low heat. We have quite a bit of time, so no need to rush the melting process or risk over heating the butter.
- Grate, Mince, or Crush the garlic. The finer the texture, the more flavor that will be infused into the butter. Place the garlic in the over to roast for 15-20 minutes or so. Be sure to occasionally stir it around.
- Add the garlic to the melted butter. Stir.
- Add the remaining ingredients. Stir well. This is the time to add any Parmesan you'd like as well if you want to put a bit of a cheese flavor into the dip.
- Strain the butter to remove all of the solids.
- This is the end result after I strained the butter twice. Depending on your strainer, you may need to do it more than once. Enjoy!
Notes
- This is not something you should be eating within 24 hours of going on a date. 😉
- You can skip the clarifying steps and use this as a garlic “paste” on a pizza dough rather than a tomato based sauce.
- I left the stove on low heat for the entire process right until clarifying the butter.
