Lemon Dill Salmon

A classic baked salmon recipe

  • 1 ea Salmon Filet Cut into 2-3" wide pieces
  • 2 tbs Butter Unsalted
  • 3 ea Cloves of Garlic Minced
  • 1 ea Lemon Sliced
  • 1 ea Fresh Dill To taste
  • 1 ea Salt To taste
  • 1 ea Pepper To taste
  • 1 ea Creamy Dill Sauce Optional – See Notes


  • Gather your ingredients. For this cook, I used some fresh Norwegian Atlantic salmon sourced from Crowd Cow. Set your oven to 375 degrees. I like to set the salmon in a tin foil lined baking sheet (be sure to spray with non-stick).
  • In a pan, melt your butter and heat your garlic over low heat. Stir occasionally.
  • Brush the butter and garlic onto the salmon.
  • Place the lemon slices on top of the salmon. Place dill onto of the salmon as well and in the pan.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and place in the over for 15 minutes or so.
  • Uncover the salmon. At this point I like to sprinkle with a little salt and pepper.
  • Finish cooking the salmon in the oven until you reach your preferred level of doneness. I like salmon at 125 degrees personally. Remove from the top whatever you wish (I like to leave the garlic, but remove the lemon and dill).
  • Serve and enjoy!

  • You could look to cut the salmon into individual filets after cooking.  I’ve found it easier to do it prior though and it’s easier to get a clean cut with raw salmon, than cooked.
