Mushroom Cream Sauce

An amazing Parmesan cream sauce with mushrooms

  • 4 oz Mushrooms Sliced
  • 1 tbs Olive Oil I used garlic infused
  • 2 tbs Butter I use salted here
  • 4 ea Cloves of Garlic Minced
  • 1/2 tbs Flour
  • 1/4 cup Chicken Broth
  • 1/2 cup Cream I used half and half here
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Freshly grated
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Rosemary Fresh or dried
  • 1 tsp Thyme Fresh or dried
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 ea Salt To taste


  • Gather and prep your ingredients.
  • Heat the oil in a large pan. Add the mushrooms.
  • Stir and cook the mushrooms until done. Remove and set aside. Clean any remaining oil from the pan.
  • Melt the butter over low heat. Add the garlic. Cook for a little bit.
  • Add the flour. Stir well.
  • Add the cream and broth. Stir well.
  • SLOWLY add the cheese while continuing to stir. The heat should be just enough to melt the cheese, but not enough to cause it to clump.
  • Stir and reduce a bit.
  • Add the mushrooms. Then add the remaining ingredients. Stir. Reduce to your desired consistency.
  • Taste and adjust as needed. A little salt goes a long way. Enjoy!


  • This recipe is enough for 2 adult portions.  Adjust as necessary.
  • This sauce is very rich and flavorful.  It’s great for chicken, beef, pork, pasta, or really any starch.
