Gather your ingredients.
If you're going to use butter (I recommend you do), cut it into 4 small pieces. Place in freezer to harden.
Combine all ingredients (except cheese & butter) in a large bowl.
Mix until well blended. Note that it will be slimy and wet. Don't worry, Turkey quickly dries and firms up when cooking.
Form 4 patties. Place your butter in the center of each.
Cover the butter so that it is truly centered in the patty.
Get your griddle (or pan) up to medium heat. Use a little oil on the surface to prevent sticking.
Cook for 5-6 minutes or until ready to flip. Flip!
Add the cheese.
Cover to help ensure the cheese melts. When your patties reach internal temp of at least 165 degrees, they are done!
Place on lettuce, garnish as you like. I used some burger sauce (see notes) and fresh green pepper here.
Cover with a second lettuce leaf. Serve and enjoy!
